What is the best way to clean windows in your home?
Windows are often a pain to clean as they can be hard to reach and if you have children you may find it is a never ending task scrubbing fingerprints off constantly.
There are a number of different products you can use to clean your windows. If the glass is just dirty then you may want to use a specific window spray. These can be picked up at all supermarkets or hardware stores and often give a good, clean finish. Always make sur you use a clean cloth to remove the spray and rub in circular motions to avoid streaks. If you want a solution that is more natural then white vinegar and newspaper will really put a sheen back in to your windows. This can however leave a strong vinegar smell, so you may wish to do it with the doors open. If you notice that the plastic trim around the windows are also dirty then it may be time for a deeper clean. You can use a soap and water solution along with a sponge to wipe down all the plastic before you clean the glass. For the hard to reach crevasses, a toothbrush is a great tool for getting the dirty out. Try not to wet the window sills too much, especially if they are wood, as this can cause them to become damaged or warped.
