Hanging a door isn’t as complicated as it seems, as long as you have the right tools. The toughest past is actually deciding on which door to hang.

First select the right door hinge, the butt hinge is usually the best to go for. Make sure to measure the door and ensure that it fits in the doorway! May seem like a stupid suggestion, but you’d be surprised on this basic error. Aim for a clearance of 2mm off the top and 5mm off the bottom, judge depending on flooring also.

Mark where you want to put yo hinges and then install them at right angles to the frame. First attach the hinges with one screw each and then check if opens closes properly. If all okay, secure the door with the remaining screws.
