Could installing a stairlift change your life?

Posted by in Home Improvement

Far too many people with mobility issues wait far too long before admitting that they need some help getting around their home and especially getting upstairs. They struggle using walking sticks or find some inventive way to climb the stairs often risking falling in the process or resign themselves to life downstairs, but it doesn’t have to be this way. The cost of installing a stairlift may be less than people think.

If you want to stay in your two storey home it is certainly worth getting an expert adviser in to your property to see what is possible and what the costs involved are. As stairlifts are fitted to the actual stairs in most cases there is no need to attach it to the wall so if at a later date the stairlift is removed there will be no damage to the walls leading up the stairs.

Stairlifts come in a variety of colours, styles and fabrics to suit your home décor and can usually be fitted in a day, so disruption is minimal. Many people who have a stairlift fitted wonder how they coped without one and it is certainly a safer option all round and some would say a life-changer.
