Roofing & Conservatories

Latest projects, advice and inspiration from our roofing & conservatories team.

The roof is the least noticeable part of the house until something goes wrong. A good roof keeps the rain out and the heat in. You might forget a good roof is there. A bad roof shows itself with a damp ceiling or a cold room. This section is about the roofs over both the house and the conservatory.

Most people start with the conservatory roof. The old roofs made from glass and polycarbonate were bad. They were too hot and too cold, making the conservatory an unusable room for half the year. A new tiled roof is solid and well insulated, allowing you to make the conservatory an entire usable room for the whole year. Roofs old and new have signs they need replacing, like leaks, poor insulation, and creaky shelves. Once you’ve reached that point, getting a new roof is a worthy investment.

Tiled roofs over the house can’t be neglected either. Left unchecked, a worn down roof will let water in and the damage will snowball. Most problems start with a slipped tile and poor quality flashing. They all are pretty cheap to fix in comparison to the damage done.

Bigger is different. Industrial and commercial roofs receive a lot more weathering and cover a larger area than a residential roof. Because of this, they need a different type of design with steel sheets and proper drainage systems that can take the load.

Take a look at the articles below. Whether you’re dealing with conservatory, residential, or commercial roofs, you will be covered practically before work starts.
