Creating a cleaning schedule for your home

Posted by in Cleaning

Cleaning and housework can often seem like a never ending task. It can be so hard after a full day at work to have to throw yourself in to cleaning. If you do not keep on top of it, it can become a huge task and also it is not great for your physical and even your mental health. Research has shown that having an unclean and untidy home can have a negative effect on your mental health.

In order to stay on top of your cleaning it is a good idea to come up with a routine. If you tend to do the same things every week such as working hours and school picks ups etc then this should be straightforward. If, however you work shifts or your week changes from week to week you may not be able to allocate jobs to specific days. Often it really helps just to write down a list of the daily, weekly and monthly tasks that need to be done. You can then try and allocate these to certain days or split the jobs up between other people in the house hold so everyone is doing their fair share of chores.
