When painting and wallpapering a new room, you should always start with the painting as that way you do not have to worry about getting paint on your new wall paper. If you are having new carpet fitted, then ideally this should be done once all the other decorating has been done.

Often decorating can become harder if you do not have the correct equipment. Buying cheap products can result in a messy finishing meaning you may have to do it again. When buying paint, always buy a sample pot to check how the colour dries on your walls as it often differs from the colour on the tin or on paint charts.
