Having to get rid of unwanted furniture can be a nightmare if it is not particularly desirable. Social media is a great place to advertise your unwanted appliances and house hold furniture as you do not have to pay for the ad and you can often reach thousands of people in your local area.

You can also use website such as Ebay or Gumtree to advertise but you may have to pay a listing fee for these and / or final fee when the items sells.

If you cannot sell the furniture for whatever reason then you will need to dispose of it responsibly. Some charity shops will be able to take many items off you although some are not allowed to sell electrical appliances. Also items such as sofas are not allowed to be re-sold through a charity shop or furniture store without the fire label still attached to it, in which case it may be a trip to the local tip.
