How To Polish And Wax Wood Furniture
Polishing and waxing wood furniture doesn’t need to be a headache, all you need is a rag, a soft bristle brush and a buffing cloth. Oh and of course either the desired wood polish or wood wax.
Polish: Follow these steps if you’re polishing your wood furniture.
- Use a clean rag and apply the polish directly on the wood. Wipe with the grain, never against it.
- If your furniture contains intricate marks on the wood, use the soft bristled brush and polish in a circular motion.
- If your wood looks like it needs another polish, then it probably does. Apply another layer and wait for the polish to saturate.
- Buff with cloth to remove any excess polish.
Wax: Follow these steps if you’re polishing your wood furniture
- Use a clean rag and apply a small amount of wax and start wiping with the grain.
- When waxed fully, let it set for a few hours.
- If you feel as if the wood needs another coating, repeat the same steps again.
- Buff with cloth to remove any excess wax.
